The University of Cergy- Pontoise (French: Université de Cergy- Pontoise ) is a public university in the city region Cergy -Pontoise northwest of Paris. The college was founded in 1991 to relieve the universities of Paris in the face of student growth.

At its seven locations in Cergy- Pontoise, Argenteuil Sarcelles and the university has a total of around 12,000 students.
Courses of Study
The University of Cergy- Pontoise is divided into five faculties ( UFRS ) for law, economics and business management, languages , literature and humanities as well as science and technology. There are also two institutes, the Institute de préparation à l' administration générale ( IPAG ), and in 1989 founded the Institute universitaire de technologie ( IUT ), which was integrated into the university in 1991.
