Cermik also Şamkuş (Armenian Ջերմուկ Jermuk, zazaisch Çêrmug, Kurdish Çêrmûg ) is a town and also the name of a district in the Turkish province of Diyarbakir. Cermik is located in the west of the province and borders the provinces of Şanlıurfa, Elazığ and Adiyaman. The town has 18,505 inhabitants Cermik and the county 50 309 (2012 ).
