César de Bus

César de Bus ( born February 3, 1544 Cavaillon, † April 15, 1607 in Avignon ) was a Catholic priest and is a blessed of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

César de Bus initially led a worldly life, before he asked in a convent near Avignon for admission, where he henceforth devoted himself to nursing. In 1582 he received the Sacrament of Holy Orders, and soon after received the appointment as canon to the main church of Avignon.

In 1592 he founded the Congregation of the Priests of the Christian Doctrine, which was known as the Aryan doctrine. César de Bus died on April 15, 1607 in Avignon, where he was also buried. His remains were transferred in 1924 to the church of Santa Maria in Monticelli in Rome, since there is no longer the Aryan doctrine in France since of the French Revolution.
