Cesare Aretusi

Cesare Aretusi (* baptized September 1, 1549 in Bologna, † October 4, 1612 ) was an Italian painter of the Mannerist.

His early works show the influence of the 1542 who died in Bologna Bartolomeo Ramenghi feel. Intensive together, he works with his coming also from Bologna fellow painter Giovan Battista Fiorini in the fresco painting and altarpieces. Fiorini was responsible for the arrangement and design of the images according to Luigi Lanzi, while the execution and color design rather was Aretusi. After his death in 1599 Aretusi focused therefore logical to portraiture.
