CEU Business School

The CEU Business School is a US- accredited business school in Budapest, Hungary. It was founded in 1988 by a group led by the Hungarian- American investor and philanthropist George Soros and was the first institution in Central and Eastern Europe whose management education leading to an American MBA degree. The training is strongly oriented to U.S. policies; the language of instruction is English throughout.

History and location

The CEU Business School was founded in 1988 as the International Management Center (IMC ). After she had forgiven her academic degrees for a while along with various U.S. business schools, it was also based in Budapest and in 2002 part of Soros founded Central European University ( CEU ). To date, Soros the University is closely linked; among other things, he handed each graduate his diploma in person. Currently (January 2011) is the CEU Business School in a separate building on the Buda side of the Danube; the address is Frankel Leó út 30-34. As part of the current campus transformation of Central European University, the Business School will be moved to the inner city 's main campus ( Nador utca 9-15). In the fall of 2010, Mel Horwitch, former program director at the MIT Sloan School of Management, appointed as the new Dean of the CEU Business School.

Courses

The CEU Business School is offering a 11 -month full-time MBA, an Executive MBA on weekends and, along with three other business schools, a prestigious Executive MBA named International Master 's of Management ( IMM ), the participants will visit every several locations and the the current Financial Times ranking (2010) is performed on rank 21 of all Executive MBA programs worldwide. Due to the accreditation of the Central European University by both the Hungarian authorities as well as the financial statements of the CEU Business School U.S. Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools are recognized both in the U.S. and in the EU. The full-time and Executive MBA program is accredited by the Association of MBAs; The IMM program to control by the AACSB.

A formerly existing Master of Science in IT Management program and two undergraduate programs ( Bachelor of Science degree and Dual Degree in International Business with the Bocconi University in Italy) were recruited; as well as the Executive MBA program in Romania.

Partner universities

The CEU Business School offers a number of exchange programs and double degree programs with partners in Europe, North America and Asia, including the Stern School of Business in New York, the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto and CEIBS in Shanghai. Exchange programs exist with the WHU in Germany - Otto Beisheim School of Management, EBS University of Economics and Law, as well as the Technical University of Freiberg, with the latter also a double degree program.
