CEU Cardinal Herrera University
The University CEU Cardinal Herrera CEU - UCH ( chip: Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera ) is a private university in Roman Catholic- based in Moncada, Valencia, Spain. It was created from a merger of the University of Valencia and the Polytechnic University of Valencia in 1970. However, got its name, the university only in 1999.
History
The university belongs to the association of the Fundación San Pablo CEU, a foundation for non-profit educational institutions. The Foundation was established by the Jesuits Ángel Ayala Alarco in 1933. To trust association includes more than 25 schools offering more than 190 educational programs, ranging from primary school to higher education and training in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Murcia, Alicante, Vigo, Jerez, Elche, Seville and Valladolid.
In 1999, the founding of the University Cardinal Herrera with state recognition was granted. The university offers bachelor 's, master's and PhD degrees in education and training on campus Moncada, moose and campus Castellón.
Others
In 2013, representatives from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden visited the University to establish an agreement for academic cooperation and exchange of students in grades science of health. The delegation consisted of the International Relations Coordinator Malin Ahlen, the international coordinator of the study of dentistry stone Bjorkman, the clinical supervisor Lars -Erik Lindgren and technical assistant Kerstin Mark Lund and was supported by the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Alicia Lopez, coordinator of dentistry Arlinda Luzi and the Erasmus coordinator Chirag Sheth received. The Karolinska Institutt offers courses in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing and physiotherapy, which are also part of academic services at the university CEU Cardinal Herrera.
The university has three campuses in Moncada, moose and Castellón. Studying at the University over 7,000 students from all over Spain. These mainly come from Valencia, Murcia, Mallorca, Ibiza, and Albacete. Moreover, the number of international students is growing within the Erasmus program ever.
In May 2013 signed Rosa Visiedo Claverol, Rector of the University, the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to scientific knowledge.
The University is a participant in the Solar Decathlon Europe in 2012.
