Céüse

Céüse is situated in the French Hautes -Alpes mountain. Its summit plateau is inclined to the north, to the south it terminates in an up to 200 -meter-high rock wall. Céüse is part of a Natura 2000 site.

Crags

The crag Céüse basically consists of several kilometers long, semicircular, situated below the summit rock wall. The center in the south-facing rock bolt, which is also called "the most beautiful wall in the world ," offers more than 200 routes in the degrees of difficulty 5c to 9a ( French scale), the focus is on routes in the seventh grade. The longest routes are six pitches long and lead to the summit.

The current heaviest and most famous route of the climbing area is the erstbegangene 2001 by Chris Sharma Realization (also: biography), the world's first 9a route in difficulty. Other well-known routes are also covered by Sharma erstbegangene Three Degrees of Separation (9a ), whose key points consist of three dynamos, as well as the route Bah Bah Black Sheep (8c ), first climbed by Dave Graham.
