CF Reus Deportiu

Club de Futbol Reus Deportiu is a football club based in Reus, Catalonia. The club was founded in 1909 and now plays in the Tercera División group 5 home games wearing the club from the Camp Nou Municipal, which offers space for 4500 spectators.

History

The FC Reus was founded on 23 November 1909 as a successor to the defunct sports club Reus as a pure football club. The first game was played in Reus at the Velodrome on Calle Sant Joan. In 1913 they moved into the stadium Carretera de Salou.

In 1917 the clubs FC Reus, the cycling club Reus and the SC Olímpia united the club Reus Deportiu.

A year later we finally joined the Catalan Football Federation, which the discharge of official games allowed.

1923 and 1924 it was the second champion Catalan league. From 1927 home games finally could deny at Calle Gaudi in the first own stadium. The successful time but was interrupted by the Spanish Civil War.

The old club were renamed departments continue and the name Reus Depotiu where the famous roller hockey team remained.
