CFB Gagetown

Canadian Forces Base Gagetown, (in short: CFB Gagetown ) is a large military base of the Canadian Army in the vicinity of about 3 km east of the town of Oromocto, New Brunswick. The provincial capital Fredericton, located about 20 km west of the base.

History

At the beginning of the Cold War, the Canadian military planners have recognized the need to build a military training area on which the Canadian Army, the infantry and the artillery was able to perform exercises.
