CFEX-FM

CFEX -FM ( 92.9 FM X - Calgary 's New Rock Alternative) is a private radio station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The station is operated by Harvard Broadcasting. It broadcasts the Modern Rock format on the FM frequency 92.9 with a transmission power of 100 kW. The broadcast studios are located at the intersection of 17th Avenue and 2nd Street in the district of Beltline. This road is also known under the name of "the Red Mile ." The studios are located on the ground floor, so, interested pedestrians and fans, watch the DJ's and special guests.

History

In 2006, the Canadian Radio -television and Telecommunications Commission ( CRTC ) approved the broadcasters, Harvard Broadcasting on the FM frequency 92.9 to operate a radio station. The first broadcast was December 1, 2007 at midnight, with a studio live concert of the Canadian indie rock band Hot Hot Heat. The station chose the slogan: " Calgary 's New Rock Alternative ".
