CFRNA

CFRNA or CIDNA was a French- Romanian airline, the 1920-1933 operating services between France and Central Europe and the Balkans. The whole company was Compagnie Franco- roumaine de navigation aérienne (French ) and Compania de navigatie Aeriana Franco Română (Romanian, French - Romanian Air Transport Society), since 1925 - Compagnie internationale de navigation aérienne or Internationala Compania De NAVIGATIE Aeriana ( International air Transport Association).

History

The company was founded on 1 January 1920 opened still in the founding year a link between Paris and Prague via Strasbourg and received on 7 July 1920 concession for the branch line between Prague and Warsaw. The latter line was opened due to the war only on 12 April 1921. By 1923, the original route via Bucharest was extended to Istanbul and later added a variant on Sofia. There were added via intermediate points in Nuremberg ( airport Atzenhof ) and later in Breslau ( airfield Kleingandau ).

On January 1, 1925, the company was renamed CIDNA because the objectives have branched far beyond the original link. In 1930 the Romanian inside connections have been reintegrated into society LARES. On October 7, 1933, the CIDNA has been merged into the newly created Air France.

Objectives

In 1921 CFRNA ran a route Paris - Strasbourg - Prague - Warsaw (and back). Was flown in both directions every day except Sunday with the departure ( in Paris and Warsaw) at 8:00 clock and the arrival at 19:30 clock.

CIDNA last flew the following routes:

  • The original route, which was served every day except Sunday: Paris - Strasbourg - Nuremberg - Prague - Vienna - Budapest - Belgrade - Bucharest The section Bucharest - Istanbul was operated on Tuesday
  • Prague - Warsaw
  • Belgrade - Sofia
  • Belgrade - Skopje - Thessaloniki - Athens
