Chab

Chab (* in Beirut, real name François Chabloz ) is a Swiss DJ and music producer in the field of trance and progressive house. He has previously produced also under the pseudonyms Moogwai and Star.

Biography

François Chabloz was born in Beirut, but then grew up in Rome until he was 17 years old. He then moved to Geneva and now lives in Switzerland.

Chabloz began in 1999 as Moogwai on the music label Platipus Records to produce. Under this pseudonym he produced in the years 2000 and 2001 with "Viola" and "The Labyrinth" two singles that entered the UK Singles Chart. The single Viola appeared along with a remix of Armin van Buuren and was a big club hit.

After Viola is concentrated Chabloz a year on his project Chab under which he in 2000 his first single " Get My Love" published. One of his best-known productions as Chab was "Closer to Me", a collaboration with JD Davis. Chab is also a sought-after remixer. He has remixed fashion among other things, Nelly Furtado, Moonbootica, Royksopp, Gorillaz and Depeche.

2005, the two debut albums 5 Wishes & More (as Moogwai ) and Dub, Edits And Whisky - Coke appeared (as Chab ). The album contained Moogwai addition to the previous singles and four new songs: "The Northern Song", " Anagram ", " 1AD " and the title track along with a new, previously unreleased Tek ^ tonik remix of his club hits Viola.
