The Chadian national football team, also known as Sao, is the official Football Selection Chad and subject to the Fédération Tchadienne de Football Association.

History
1962, the association was founded. Their first international match, which she lost 2:6, played the Chadian national team on April 11, 1963 against Benin in Senegal.
In 1988 joined the Association of FIFA and CAF. From then on, the national team was allowed to compete in qualifying rounds to world and African Championships.
In the first round of qualifying for the World Cup 2006, Chad won his match against Angola 3-1 and lost the second leg 0-2. The later qualifier Angola came forth only on the away goals rule.
