Chad Smith

Chadwick Smith ( born October 25, 1961 in Saint Paul, Minnesota) is an American drummer and member of the California funk- rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. He grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He replaced 1988 Jack Irons, who left the band because of Hillel Slovaks death and the resulting chaotic circumstances. As a nameless applicant for the position of the free Drummers he managed a Jam with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, with whom he immediately inserted itself through its unique capabilities in the band mechanics, the entry into the group. In 1993 he published with " Red Hot Rhythm Method" an educational film for advanced drummers.
