Challapampa

Challapampa is a village in the department of La Paz in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Challapampa is a scattered settlement and is located on the Isla del Sol ( Island of the Sun dt ) in the province of Manco Kapac district ( bolivian: Municipio) Copacabana. The village is located in the southern part of the 3,810 m high Lake Titicaca at an altitude of 3815 m on the north east coast of the Island of the Sun. The core of the village, on a mere one hundred yards wide strip of land that connects one of the upstream peninsulas with the Isla del Sol.

Geography

Challapampa located on the Bolivian Altiplano between the Andes mountain ranges, the Cordillera Occidental and the Cordillera Central in the west to the east.
