Chamni District

Amphoe Chamni ( Thai: อำเภอ ชำนิ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of Buriram Province. The Buriram province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Lam Plai Mat the, Mueang Buriram, Nang Rong, Nong Ki and Hong Nong. All Amphoe located in the province of Buriram.

History

Chamni was created initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) on 1 April 1992 by the five Tambon Chamni, Cho Phaka, Laluat, Mueang Yang and Nong Nang Rong plong from Amphoe were separated. On 5 December 1996 he was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

The county Chamni is divided into six subdistricts (tambon ), divide further into 64 villages ( Muban ).

There are also six " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
