The airport Changchun Longjia ( Chinese:长春 龙 嘉 国际 机场, Traditional Chinese :长春 龙 嘉 国际 机场) is located in the administrative territory of the greater community Longjia (龙 嘉 镇) in the district Erdao Changchun City in the Chinese province of Jilin. The airport is located 31 km from downtown Changchun away. The city shares the airport with the 71 km distant city of Jilin. The airport was cleared for construction in 1998 and opened on 26 August 2005 as the successor to the airport Changchun Dafangshen. In October 2005, the airport also took over the passenger volume of Jilin airport. The airport will transport up to 2013 3.2 million passengers per year.
