Changhua County

The Changhua County (Chinese彰化 县, Pinyin Zhanghua Xiàn, Tongyong Pinyin Jhanghuà Sian, W.-G. Chang -hua Hsien, PEH oē - jī Chiong - HOA KOAN ) is a district of the Republic of China on Taiwan. Capital is the city of Changhua.

In the northwest of the district lies the historically important port city of Lukang. Its old town with a number of well-preserved temple is a major tourist attraction today.

Location

The Changhua County is located in the central part of western Taiwan. In the south, the river forms the border Zhuoshui to Yunlin County, the northern border of the city of Taichung largely follows the Dadu River, where the capital is located in Changhua.
