Chantelle Newbery

Chantelle Newbery ( born May 6, 1977 in Melbourne as Chantelle Michell ) is a former Australian water jumper. She won the 2004 Olympic gold medal in diving.

Your first international appearance was at the World Swimming Championships in Perth in 1998. As a local hero, she won the bronze medal from the 3m board, one of two medals in the water jumping for the Australian team. The 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney were held in their home. Together with Loudy Tourky she finished fourth in the synchronized diving from the 3 m board. In individual competition from the board, she was seventh.

After the Olympics, she married her teammate Robert Newbery, 2002, her first son was born. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens Chantelle Newbery was there again.
