Chao Li Chi

Chao- Li Chi ( born April 4, 1929 in the province of Shanxi, † October 16, 2010 in Los Angeles, California ) was a Chinese actor.

Life

Chi was discovered in 1948 by the avant-garde director Maya Deren. In Meditation on Violence, a musical collage, he played himself and showed a self-developed Tai Chi choreography. It was not until the mid-1970s he resumed his career as an actor. Initially, he worked as a guest star in TV series such as The tough Five, Quincy and Fantasy Iceland. Early 1980s, he starred in Jackie Chan's first English language feature film The big brawl and in the eyewitness with Sigourney Weaver and William Hurt in the lead roles, it followed in 1986 by John Carpenter's Big Trouble in Little China.

From 1981 to 1990 played Chi in 216 episodes, the role of the butler in the series Falcon Crest; worth mentioning here is that his role name Chao- Li Chi was also.
