Chaouia-Ouardigha

Chaouia- Ouardigha (Arabic الشاوية ورديغة ) is one of the 16 regions of Morocco is located in the north of the kingdom. In the entire area of Chaouia- Ouardigha 1.65566 million people ( as of 2004) on a total area of ​​7010 km ². The region's capital is Settat.

M. Mohamed Ali El administrator, a former member and a founder of the Polisario, was replaced as Prefect ( Wali ) of this region in April 2007 by Abdechakour Rais.
