Chapman is a city ( town) in the U.S. state of Maine in Aroostook County.
Geography and transport
The city is located in the center of the Aroostook County. On the southern edge of the urban area is the Alder Lake. The only road access is a narrow road to Mapleton. Chapman is on the railway line Squa Pan Stockholm, still occasionally operate on the freight trains of the Montreal, Maine and Atlantic Railway. From 1910 to 1951 passenger trains stopped at the city railway station. The nearest airport with scheduled flights is located in Presque Isle.
History
On March 11, 1915, the settlement became a town.
