Chapulineros de Oaxaca

Chapulineros de Oaxaca or Oaxaca Club de Fútbol is a Mexican football club based in Oaxaca City, the capital of the state of Oaxaca. Its home ground is the built in 1987 and about 12,000 guests, the Estadio Benito Juárez.

History

The Chapulineros (Spanish name for grasshoppers ) were represented for the first time between 1985 and 1988 for three seasons in the Segunda División at the time still second-rate. After winning the third-tier Segunda División 'B' in the 1992/93 season they managed to return to the Segunda División for the 1993/94 season, the last time the status of a second league held at that season, and in this role from the season was 1994/95 Liga of the newly-launched Primera 'A' replaced. In this the Chapulineros between 2001 and 2003 participated. To be included in the league, the Chapulineros acquired in the summer of 2001, the license of Lobos de la BPRD and they in turn sold two years later to the Guerreros de Tlaxcala.

Currently, the Chapulineros play in Group IV of the fourth-rate Tercera División.
