Charilaus

Charillos (Greek Χάριλλος ) or Charilaos (Greek Χαρίλαος ) was a king of ancient Sparta from the House of Eurypontidae.

Charillos is the son of the Spartan king Polydectes. Charillos destroyed in communion with his co-regent Archelaus the city Aygis at the Arcadian border and invaded the territory of the Argives. He was captured during a campaign against the Tegeatae with his army and released only for the promise not to fight a longer war against the Tegeatae.
