Similar Species

The most striking distinction from the very similar species Black - stone lines tensioner ( Charissa intermedia) and Grüngraugebänderter Rock Stone tensioner ( Charissa glaucinaria ) are the bright bars on the wing undersides:

  • In Ch glaucinaria these are relatively broad, but ill-defined,
  • At Ch intermedia they are also wide, but limited lots of contrast,
  • At Ch pullata the bandages are much narrower.

Dissemination

The distribution area of the tensioner Hellgebänderten stone ranges from Poland in the north to Greece in the south. In the West, the species occurs in Spain and in France, where, especially in mountainous regions such as the Vosges, the Massif Central, the Jura and the Alps; even in the department of Saône -et -Loire, Côte- d'Or, Ain, Haute -Saône and Lot. The area extends over central and southern Europe to Romania in the east. In Corsica, the article is lacking in Germany it comes in the north to the edge of the low mountain range.

The type populated mountainous terrain and rocky canyons with steep slopes and screes. It prefers sunny and xerotherm habitats. In Switzerland, the nature of height rises up to 1800 meters.

Biology

The caterpillars live polyphagous and develop at different plants:

  • Wall-rue ( Asplenium ruta - muraria )
  • Red Honeysuckle ( Lonicera xylosteum )
  • Raspberry (Rubus idaeus )
  • Scotch broom ( Sarothamnus scoparius )
  • Broadleaf thyme (Thymus pulegioides )
  • Mountain Kronwicke ( Coronilla coronata )
  • Common gorse wing ( Chamaespartium sagittal )
  • Plantains ( Plantago )
  • White Stonecrop (Sedum album)
  • Mountain germander ( Teucrium montanum )
  • Crawling gypsophila ( Gypsophila repens )
  • Rock Stonecrop (Sedum rupestre )
  • Mountain germander ( Teucrium montanum )
  • Dost (Origanum )
  • Black Nascent Geißklee ( Cytisus nigricans )
  • Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus)
  • Valerian ( ' Valeriana )

Regionally, the wall-rue is preferred. The caterpillars are active at night and rest during the day between the stems of the food plant or in rock crevices. The caterpillar overwinters. The Hellgebänderte stone clamper is now before only sporadically. It flies in Central Europe in a generation from mid-June to mid-August. The moths are nocturnal and come to light, sometimes to bait.
