Charlemagne: The Omens of Death

Charlemagne: The Omens of Death is a concept album by actor and singer Christopher Lee, which as a continuation of his debut album Charlemagne: By the Sword and the appear Cross. It is of Charlemagne (English Charlemagne), the first Roman emperor of the Middle Ages. The music was, inter alia, arranged by Richie Faulkner, guitarist of heavy metal band Judas Priest.

With the first single Let radically mark me as the King Lee signaled to his 90th birthday (May 27, 2012) with its realignment for pure Heavy Metal, after his previous releases were heavily influenced symphonic. This makes him the oldest artist in the history of the genre.

For promotion purposes, a music video for the song The Bloody Verdict of Verden was released from the album which was released in June 2012, which is, however, the Symphonic Metal associate and thus differs from the musical style of the new album.
