Charles Brenton Huggins

Charles Brenton Huggins ( born September 22, 1901 in Halifax, Canada, † January 12, 1997 in Chicago, United States) was a Canadian- American surgeon.

1948 to 1949 he was president of the American Association for Cancer Research. He received the Albert Lasker Award in 1963 for Clinical Medical Research in 1966 and the Gairdner Foundation International Award both as well as the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his " discoveries concerning hormonal treatment of prostate cancer ."
