Charles Casali

Charles " Schärlu » Casali (* April 27, 1923; † January 8, 2014 ) was a Swiss football player. The Outrunner played with the national team the World Cup finals in 1954, when the team pushed forward into the quarter- finals.

Sports career

Casali began his career at Victoria Bern. About the FC St. Gallen, where he had moved for professional reasons, he came to BSC Young Boys. With the club he joined in 1950 in the National League A on. Three years later he was part of the team that won the Swiss Cup after a 3-1 win in the replay against Grasshopper Club Zurich.
