Charles Grant (American football)

Charles Gabriel Grant ( born September 3, 1978 in Colquitt, Georgia ) is an American football player in the National Football League ( NFL). His career began in 2002 with the New Orleans Saints where he played as a defensive end. Since 2010 he plays for the Miami Dolphins.

School time

Grant initially attended Hargrave Military Academy in Miller County ( Georgia), where he played football for three years and was used in both the Defense, as well as on offense. After his move to the University of Georgia he played with the Bulldogs, the college football team of the University also both defensive fullback as well as an end.

Career in the NFL

In 2002, Grant was ever drafted in the first round of Draftes and 25 out of the New Orleans Saints. There, he played from 2002 until 2009.

Grant quickly became an integral part of the Saints- Defense, in which he detailed a feared duo with Will Smith. In his first four years in the NFL Grant has a total of 30 times the opposing quarterback " slumped ", more than any other Saints player in this period. He has achieved in 2002 by a 34 -yard fumble return against the Carolina Panthers His only previous touchdown.
