Charles Hamilton (writer)

Charles Harold St. John Hamilton ( born August 8, 1876 in Ealing in London, † December 24, 1961 ) was an English children's book author.

Life

Hamilton is in the Guinness Book of Records as the most prolific writer with a business scope of an estimated 72 to 75 million words. He used over 20 aliases. One of his most famous characters is Billy Bunter, which he published under the name Frank Richards.
