Charles Horton Peck

Charles Horton Peck ( born March 30, 1833 in Sand Lake, Rensselaer County, New York, † July 11, 1917 in Albany, New York) was a renowned American mycologist of the 19th and early 20th century. From 1867 to 1915 he was the "New York State Botanist ." During this time, he described over 2700 North American mushroom species.
