Charles Musès

Charles Arthur Muses ( born April 28, 1919 in New Jersey; † 2000) was an American scientist and archaeologist, editor in chief and founder of the publishing house Falcon 's Wing Press.

Muses discovered in 1957 in Egypt at Dahshur a Mastaba of the 4th dynasty. The mastaba was not identified until today. Its probably the most significant finding was the discovery and excavation of the pyramid of King Ameny Qemau from the 13th Dynasty around 1745 BC In addition to his activities in Egypt Dr. Muses was archaeologically among others in Bengal, Central America, Mexico, Sudan and Sikkim and ethnographic works. In 1956 he was appointed a life member of the Explorers Club. He was also a member of the American Oriental Society and the Canadian Mathematical Society. He was co-editor of the International Journal of Bio -Medical Computing and the British science journal Robotica. Muses was married to Charlotte Barth Howell.
