Charles Paris

Charles S. "Chuck" Paris ( born September 25, 1911 † March 19, 1994 in Tombstone, Arizona ) was an American comic book artist.

Life

Chuck Paris grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina. In 1934 he went to New York City. He began working as a professional cartoonist in the 1940s. Although he occasionally took off work as penciler - so the drawings for the books Batman # 42 and # 46 - he has throughout his career primarily as inker ( Pens ) is pressed, the arranges for the revisions of the pencil drawings by other artists with ink.

In the 1940s, Paris participated as a partner of Bob Kane at the visual realization of the then appearing in numerous American newspapers Batman comic strips. In the 1950s and 1960s Paris finally inked a large number of issues of the series Batman and Detective Comics, most notably the artist Sheldon Moldoff and Dick Sprang were his artistic partner. In addition, Paris was involved in the series Metamorpho.

Since the early 1980s he lived in Catalina, Arizona. He died as a result of a car accident near Tombstone, Arizona.
