Charles Paul Landon

Charles Paul Landon ( born October 12, 1760 Nonant - le-Pin, Orne, † March 5, 1826 in Paris) was a French painter and writer on art.

Charles Paul Landon devoted himself since 1785 in Paris painting and became a teacher of the Dukes of Berri and Angoulême. In 1792 he went to Rome as a pensioner. After his return he devoted himself to writing, but without completely abandoning the painting.

1816 Landon conservator of paintings from the Paris museum. His numerous writings are indeed in the accuracy of the data unreliable, but by the many replicas, they supply of works of art of all time, is of interest. The most important are:
