Charles Thévenin
Charles Thévenin ( born July 12, 1764 in Paris, † February 28, 1838 ) was a French painter of the Neoclassicism.
Life
Charles Thévenin, son of an architect, studied painting at the Académie royale de peinture et de sculpture, among the well-known painter François -André Vincent. Thévenin traveled to Italy, where he worked in Rome won the Prix de Rome in 1791 and studied at the Villa Medici. Back in France, he taught at the Académie de France and in 1824 he was elected a member of the Académie des Beaux -Arts.
