Charles Tjessem

Charles Tjessem ( born May 5, 1971 in Sandnes ) is a Norwegian chef.

Life

Tjessem is the chef and owner at Charles & De in his birthplace of Sandnes. For the Bocuse d'Or, he was of Odd Ivar Solvold, who won this award in 1997 in bronze, trained. However, he had previously trained by Bent Stiansen and Eyvind Hellstrøm. He came in 2003 to first place and was between 2000 and 2004 the Captain of the Norwegian Culinary Team, before he ended his competitive career with a farewell criticism of the International Culinary Art Exhibition.

Published in 2006 the book Tjessem Rett være skal rett (Norwegian for: Simply stand straight ).
