Charles Victor Grahmann

Charles Victor Grahmann ( born July 15, 1931 in Hallettsville ) is Bishop Emeritus of Dallas.

Life

Charles Victor Grahmann received on 17 March 1956, the ordained priest for the Archdiocese of San Antonio.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 30 June 1981 for the Auxiliary Bishop of San Antonio and Titular Bishop of Equilium. The Archbishop of San Antonio, Patrick Fernández Flores, gave him on 20 August of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Sidney Matthew Metzger, emeritus bishop of El Paso, and John Louis Morkovsky, Bishop of Galveston - Houston.

On April 13, 1982, he was appointed the first Bishop of Victoria in Texas and introduced into the office on 29 May of the same year. On 9 December 1989 he was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Dallas and introduced into the office on 18 December of the same year. After the retirement Thomas Ambrose Tschoepes he followed him on 14 July 1990 after the Bishop of Dallas. On 6 March 2007 Benedict XVI accepted. its age-related resignation.
