Charlotte Kerr

Charlotte Kerr ( * May 29, 1927 in Frankfurt am Main, † December 28, 2011 in Bern ) was a German actress, director and producer.

Life

Little is known about their lives. Contrary to some information she was not a daughter of the Berlin theater critic Alfred Kerr. Her first stage appearance was in 1951 in Fritz Kortner production of Schiller 's Don Carlos. On television, she became known for her role as General Lydia van Dyke of "Fast space associations " in the television series Space Patrol (1966) and in the critical films by Rainer Erler ( meat) (1979).

Kerr was with the film producer Harry R. Sokal (1898-1979) married. In 1983, she learned that had just shot a portrait of the Greek Minister Melina Mercouri, know Friedrich Dürrenmatt. From the discussion about the piece Achterloo grew a more intimate connection. In 1984 she became the second wife of the playwright. With Dürrenmatt together the film portrait emerged of a planet (1984) and the play RPGs. After his death in 1990 Kerr Dürrenmatt managed picturesque estate. In her book, The Woman in red coat she tells of her life with the writer. 2000 was opened in Neuchâtel, initiated by her Centre Dürrenmatt.

Charlotte Kerr said the voice-over of the German version of Chris Marker's film Sans soleil essay.
