Charnwit Polcheewin

Charnwit Polcheewin ( Thai: ชาญ วิทย์ ผล ชีวิน, pronounced [ ʧa ː n -wit PON ʧiwin ]; born April 23 1956) is a Thai football manager and former player.

Career

His career as a footballer, he began at FC Raj Pracha, with which he, inter alia, In 1980, the Thai championship could win. The greatest success, however, celebrated Charnwit Polcheewin as a coach. From 1991 to 2000 he coached the Thai Farmers Bank FC and led the club to four league titles and two wins in the AFC Champions League. In 1994 he was elected coach of Asia. Besides his work as coach of FC Thai Farmers Bank, he oversaw even the Thai U -16 and U-19 selection. In 2005 he took over the office of the Thai national coach and led the team to winning the SEA Games in 2005 and a 2nd place in the ASEAN Football Championship 2007.

In February 2007, he resigned from his office to a coaching job at the Vietnamese Dong Thap FC to compete. A contract then, however, came not materialize, and he was back in April 2007 Thai coach. After it had missed Thailand in June 2008, again to qualify for a World Cup, Charnwit Polcheewin resigned from his post as national coach back.
