Château de Couzan

The Couzan Castle is the ruins of a medieval castle from the 11th century in the Forez, Loire. It is located above Sail- sous- Couzan. From there you can enjoy a remarkable view over plains and hills of the Forez region, the valley of the Lignon and the mountains of Lyonnais.

The castle originally belonged to the house Semur, later a branch line of this Burgundian noble family, the house Damas -en- Forez, before she went to the house of Lévis in the 15th century.
