Château Pédesclaux

The Château Pedesclaux is a little-known wine of Bordeaux. Since the classification of 1855, the winery is classified as Cinquième Grand Cru Classé ( fifth level of classification ). The estate is located in the Pauillac appellation.

Since the year 1950, the family Jugla is the owner of the estate. In 1996, the management changed: Jean -Michel and Pierre Jugla with wife Brigitte and Denis Jugla run the business. In October 2009, the family sold the winery Jugla on holding Ovalto Investissement to the businessman Jacky Lorenzetti

The acreage of the estate is 28 acres: 26 acres in the appellation Pauillac and 2 hectares in the Haut-Médoc appellation. The vineyard is planted with the three classic varieties of Bordeaulais: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc with. The company produces three wines: Château Pedesclaux, the Grand Vin in the Pauillac appellation, Sens de Pedesclaux, the second wine in the appellation Haut-Médoc, La Rose de Pedesclaux from the two hectares in the appellation Haut-Médoc and voluntarily demoted held by the appellation Pauillac.
