Château-Renard

Château- Renard is a commune with 2255 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the Loiret in the Centre region. It belongs to the district of Montargis and is the capital of the Canton of Château- Renard and seat of the municipal association Communauté de communes de Château- Renard. It lies on the banks of the river Ouanne.

The current spelling Château- Renard exists ( in application of the Decree of 16 November 1998) since 19 November 1998. Prior to writing the municipality of Château Renard. The change was made to avoid confusion with Château Renard in the department of Bouches -du -Rhône.
