The Chaupi Orco ( Quechua: Chawpi Urquhart, " Middle Mountain" ) is the highest peak of the Cordillera Apolobamba in the Bolivian- Peruvian border.
It consists of the twin peaks " Chaupi Orco North " ( 6044 m) and " Chaupi Orco South " (6000 m).
It is located 240 km northwest of the capital, La Paz, on the border between the two neighboring countries and reaches a height of 6044 m. The Chaupi Orco is covered with snow all year round.
