CHAYKA

Chaika (Russian Чайка, translated, Seagull ', English transcription Chayka, often written as CHAYKA ) is a Russian radio navigation system, which similar to the American LORAN -C works and how it is operated on the 100 kHz frequency.

Infrastructure

There are five Chaika chains in use. They are identified as the LORAN-C transmission chains about your group repetition interval (GRI ):

• GRI 8000 - European chain
• GRI 4970 - Northwest chain
• GRI 5960 - North chain
• GRI 7950 - Ostkette
• GRI 5980 - Russian - American chain
