Checking (ice hockey)

Backchecking is a term used in the sport of ice hockey. This refers to the rapid switch of strikers that have run an attack and lost the puck. In support of this defense striker coming back to her own gate to to discourage the opposing team shoot from the gate.

Notwithstanding this, the forechecking, in which the interference of the opposing team takes place before the defending zone.
