Cheick Tioté

Cheik Tioté (2012 )

Ismael Cheik Tioté ( born June 21, 1986 in Yamoussoukro ) is an Ivorian football player. Since summer 2010, the midfielder is the English first division club Newcastle United.

Career

Tioté learned to play football between 1998 and 2005 when Ivorian club FC Bibo. In the summer of 2005, RSC Anderlecht lured him to Belgium. But in two years the midfielder came out not only four short assignments, but part of the team which in 2006 and 2007, the Belgian championship won. For this reason, the club managers Tioté decided to Dutch Eredivisie Roda JC representatives to lend. His league debut with the new club was Tioté on September 2, 2007, in the 5-3 away win against VVV Venlo. In Kerkrade, he was able to prevail and league rival Twente Enschede became aware of him. Finally Tioté signed for season 2008/ 09 when the Enschede club. There he was in the first year runner-up and moved with the team in the final of the KNVB Cup one, which was lost on penalties to SC Heerenveen. In the final he was the full 120 minutes on the pitch. On 26 August 2010 Tioté moved to the Premier League newly promoted Newcastle United.
