Chełm Dolny

Chelm Dolny ( German: Wartenberg ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the powiat Gryfiński ( Greifenhagen county ) and to the community Trzcińsko -Zdrój.

History

The place is mainly known for the good Wartenberg, which belonged to the family of Henning von Tresckow. He was initially buried in the family vault. 1939, the place had 203 inhabitants. In the village is the Church "Sacred Heart ", a stone church from the 13th century, yet. The cemetery was destroyed. Some old grave stones were re-erected in the form of a lapidary.
