Chemokinesis

As chemokinesis is called the floating resonance of unicellular prokaryotic or eukaryotic organisms or cells to chemicals that cause a change in swimming and migration behavior. Such changes cause among other things, an increase or decrease in speed, direction, frequency and amplitude change of movement. Compared to the chemotaxis and haptotaxis and chemokinesis was arbitrary and undirected shares. Because of this arbitrary units and the research methods of chemokinesis are different than those of chemotaxis. One of the most effective methods of measurement of chemokinesis is with the help of a computer and the so-called " checkerboard analysis". This provides information on internal migration (migration) of identical cells. Another method for protozoa (e.g. Tetrahymena ), the measurement of the opalescence.
