Chennai Central railway station

Chennai Central ( Tamil: சென்னை சென்ட்ரல், formerly Madras Central) is the largest railway station in Chennai ( Madras), the capital of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The station was opened in 1873 during the British colonial period. The station building was built in the Indo - sarrazenischen colonial was designed by Henry Irwin and is considered one of the landmarks of Chennai.

The head station Chennai Central is located in the district of Parktown in the center of Chennai.
