Cheras, Selangor

Cheras is a suburb of Kuala Lumpur, which stretches to Kajang in the Malaysian state of Selangor. It is home to a large number of housing estates and shopping centers and is well connected by highways and roads.

Geography

Cheras is one of the six sub-districts ( Mukim ) Hulu Langat under the administration of the Majlis Perbandaran Kajang ( Kajang Municipal Council ). 2000, a total population of 163 550 was determined on an area 59.31 km2 in a census. Thus, Cheras is the most densely populated of these sub-districts.

Culture

Cheras also hosts the Master Skill College of Nursing and Health, one of the largest educational institutions in the care and health of the Asia - Pacific region.
